Planet Organic the UK’s largest fully certified organic supermarket has announced that it is to lay roots for the first time outside of London in Henley-on-Thames opening in the Autumn.

When Planet Organic opened its doors in 1995, it was Renée Elliott’s dream to offer the best and widest range of organic food and products available. To be able to walk into any store and they’ll talk to you about which vegetables are in season, inspire you to experiment with new ingredients and help you to choose the best bodycare or natural remedy.

“We believe that to choose organic is to choose health, not only for you and your family but also for the environment” – Renée Elliott, Founder.

The brand is known for its high quality, organic and planet-friendly ingredients, with the new Henley store set to feature the broad range of Planet Organic products, including organic fresh produce, groceries, chilled & frozen ranges, beauty & wellbeing, along with the brand’s coffee, fresh juices, smoothies, and morning goods, a small range of soups and hot pots, sandwiches and grab & go foods.

There won’t be a full kitchen site. Planet has a Central Kitchen in Westbourne Grove that supplies the stores directly. There will be seating inside and outdoor seating too pending a licence.

Planet Organic will be joining the burgeoning refill gang of Henley, The Willow Basket in Friday Street, Four State in Duke Street and Pavilion Foods in Market Place which can only be a good thing. Ditch that plastic and refill folks!

The opening of the Henley store marks the latest step in Planet Organic’s expansion, led by CEO George Dymond, who joined the business in December 2021 after running the international arm of health food chain Holland & Barrett.

The store will be joining other foodie outlets in Market Place in the former Superdrug site.
