Travelling Sauce

Giffords Circus Sauce dining experience is popping up in Stonor Park, from Friday 24th July – Sunday 2nd August 2020 serving three course meals, based on the rustically extravagant Circus Sauce feasts traditionally served in the acclaimed travelling restaurant.

Circus Sauce is a unique 60-seat restaurant that follows the circus to each ground. It started in 2003 and it is the UK’s only travelling restaurant. The restaurant is housed in two magnificent showman’s wagons with a wonderful awning lined with old tapestries, grand candle lit oak tables set up with Bridgewater crookery and mis-matched bone-handled cutlery.

Gifford’s Circus Sauce prepare everything from scratch. The food is seasonal and they support all the local smallholdings, loyalty boxes, farms, fishmongers, butchers and greengrocers they can find. The restaurant will open on Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday evenings with a weekly changing menu of three-courses costing £35 adults and £25 children.

With accreditations such as ‘you are a veritable feast!’ from Elle Food and The Telegraph calling it ‘the most sought-after supperclub of 2018‘ make it a pretty hot Henley ticket for the Summer.

Of what to expect to dine on, Ols Halas, Circus Sauce Head Chef says, “The Restaurant menu will change weekly and offers a little bit of the circus. The first week will be inspired by recipes from our recently published book, The Giffords Circus Cookbook.”

Circus Sauce is licensed and will be selling a range of beer, cider, and wine
