The BIG Little Club – Luxe Lifestyle for Women

Experience Henley spoke to Lizzie Hughes & Patricia Dhir co-founders of The BIG Little Club. After fifteen years in the marketing and advertising world, Lizzie moved from the the city to countryside and became a freelance consultant. Realising that she was surrounded by modern women craving intelligent discussion and stylish good times, The BIG Little Club was born and in her words, ‘bringing a little city sparkle to the countryside’.

The BIG Little Club is a luxe lifestyle community for women to bring a little joy and sprinkle some VIP access and glamour into their lives. The club was founded earlier this year and led by dynamic duo; events and marketing specialist Henley based Lizzie Hughes and fashion and personal stylist Patricia Dhir. They curate and edit exclusive brand collaborations, access and benefits for members from a host of gorgeous brands like Dinny Hall, Violet Lake, Ridley London, Lucy Choi and Scamp & Dude amongst many others. All combined with a variety of fun experiences from food to wellness, member socials and insightful cultural adventures; both virtual and real life ones too.

Lizzie says, ‘The roots of the club stem from the huge lifestyle show we created at stately home Hedsor House last summer called ‘The BIG Little Fashion Show’. The Show was a blend of panel talks, tattooing & piercing, music, lots of independent shopping and beauty plus gorgeous food and drinks. It was such a success, we had so much lovely feedback that we wanted to nurture all the good feeling to create something that could deliver some of that on a regular basis. We know lots of fabulous people in fashion and lifestyle brands in London from our previous lives and we wanted to bring some of that city glamour and blend it with all the great things and people here in the countryside too’

‘Our club is a virtual one in lots of ways, as we have a bespoke TBL phone app that hosts all our brand benefits. It also gives members access to our ticketed paid for events and workshops as well as up to date info on new collaborations. We launched in February this year and obviously due to Covid this has meant some plans have changed and been pushed back. However, we are such an eclectic mix of on and offline that we have just tweaked some things for the autumn to be smaller groups as a live event or moved it on line. Plus all our exclusive brand shopping benefits can be used whether you are in Oxfordshire or sailing round the med!’

During lockdown The Big Little Club donated all new memberships fees to Refuge and stress that an ‘exclusive inclusivity’ is at the heart of what they are about ‘It is also important that we are inclusive and our low entry price for membership reflects that’ says Patsy. ‘We are for all women looking for something just for them. Every member uses us differently; for some it all about access to great brand discounts while for others it’s about the community socials and events. We can offer as much or as little as people want. We are also excited to be adding more local restaurants and indie favourites too in the coming months – lots more to come as our lives open up and as we grow as a business too’

Interested to Join? The current membership is £19.95 for a 6 month membership which includes all brand discounts and benefits. Plus it gives access to ticketed monthly socials and early bird ticket prices on the rest of the club events & activities in the coming months.
