A tasty hug from the Côte Autumn menu

With a new menu celebrating French cooking, there is no better season to enjoy comforting French classics at Côte Henley, so why not get yourself down there and treat yourself.

Experience Henley popped along to check it out.

Their new seasonal Autumn menu includes the return of two favourite Côte starters Prawn Gratinée, with a little cheeky chilli heat, and perfectly seasoned, well prepared Steak Tartare. Though if like a little more oomph you can add either a touch or tabasco or Worcestershire sauce yourself.

Steak Tartare – Hand-cut raw beef, cornichons, mustard dressing, toasted baguette

Prawn Gratinée – King prawns, chilli Provençale sauce, white wine, rocket, sourdough croûtes

Mushroom & Egg Galette – Buckwheat crêpe, mushrooms, spinach, fried free range egg

Also making a more than welcome come back are Breton specialities, buckwheat galettes of either Ham & Comté cheese or mushrooms, spinach and a fried free range egg. Perfect for that breakfast, brunch, lunch.

If you need a dish to wrap around you like a soft warm duvet after a long Autumn walk, then plumping for the Beef Cheek Bourguignon is not a bad idea. Melt in the mouth beef cheek with a rich glossy sauce and French mash is a winner.
