Orwells Launches Vegan Menu

We are currently living in strange times especially when it comes to eating out, as we’re having to eat in what we would eat out!

Many restaurants have adpated their normal menu to be able to offer take out or ‘ready meal’ option and Orwells is no exception.

The award winning team quickly stepped up to the plate (nice pun!) to support the community with The Orwells Community Shop with everything from ready meals to home essentials.

Their list of ‘ready meals’ though is no short of astounding and have been receiving rave reviews as well as their Fish & Chips on a Friday which offers lobster, turbot, scampi (the real deal Scottish langoustine) and halibut and their fantastic Sunday roasts which includes Roasted Orkney Scallops, Slow Smoked Pork Belly & Tiger Prawns, Thai Style Crab Cakes, Roast ‘Lambchetta’ and Chateaubriand to share.

These guys really know their stuff and their food is sublime, so it’s no surprise that they have come up with an incredible vegan menu, so eveyone can taste their delicious food whilst the doors are closed.

What to expect? A menu of eight starters/small plates, eight main course dishes, eight sides and six desserts, is not a shy menu.

Whether you’re a vegan or not you might be tempted to try out the Wiltshire Truffle and Asparagus Fettucine made with homemade pasta, Wiltshire truffles and a coconut based sauce or maybe the Salt Baked Celeriac Wellington, ‘meatballs’ in spicy tomato sauce or ‘Steak’ & truffle. If this isn’t enough to float your boat you can finish off with Chocolate Millionaire mousse with honeycomb & caramel or maybe the Rhubarb, Pistachio and Ginger Panna Cotta.

When this much love, care and attention is given to the dishes, the vegan menu from Orwells is far from an afterthought and should have anyone vying to have a taste of some of these dishes.
