Henley’s popular Henley Literary Festival is popping up with two fantastic events.

On Wednesday 8th February Jojo Moyes is being interviewed by festival favourite and best-loved author, Bryony Gordon at Christ Church, Reading Road.

Jojo Moyes last novel The Giver of Stars was a Sunday Times No.1 and a Reese Witherspoon Book Club pick, Me Before You remains a global phenomenon and to date her books have sold 51 million copies and been translated into 46 languages.

Now, just days after her highly anticipated new novel is published Henley Lit Fest welcome Festival favourite Jojo Moyes back to Henley. With all the charm, wit, and emotion that readers across the world have come to love, Someone Else’s Shoes explores the power of female friendship and tells the story of how two women in their 40s find their lives irrevocably altered when they accidentally swap gym bags. Brighten up a winter evening with one of the world’s best-loved authors.

And news just in that on 4th May Elizabeth Day will be in conversation with Fi Glover also at Christ Church.

Two firm Festival favourites return to Henley for a special pop-up event. Having topped the iTunes and Sunday Times charts with How to Fail and MagpieElizabeth Day now joins us with Friendaholic: Confessions of a Friendship Addict. Growing up she wanted everyone to like her; lacking friends at school, she believed that quantity equalled quality. But in adulthood she slowly realised that it was often to the detriment of her own boundaries and mental health. Then, reassessing what friendship meant amid a pandemic it dawned on her that her truest friends were not the ones she had been spending most time with. From her own experiences to those of others around the world, via ghosting, frenemies, social media and communication styles, she leaves no stone unturned.

She will discuss her new book and career to date with Times Radio presenter Fi Glover, whose Did I Say That Out Loud? event with co-host Jane Garvey sold out at our 2021 festival.

Ticket only: £12 – Book & ticket: £16.99 Elizabeth Day in conversation with Fi Glover – Henley Literary Festival
