A 15th‑Century Coaching Inn Begins a New Chapter

The Crown Inn at Pishill, a Grade II listed 15th‑century coaching inn nestled in the Chiltern Hills, has reopened its doors under new owners John and Jane Bloomer.
Their vision brings together heritage, community, and contemporary wellness, marking a significant revival for one of the area’s most historic rural pubs.
The renovation is taking shape piece by piece which includes a restored inn, a converted cottage for overnight stays, and a “Wild Spa” offering outdoor saunas, ice baths, and forest bathing.
They are currently operating a ‘founding season’ which centres around The Thatch Barn open Thursday to Sunday for brunch, lunch, drinks and dinner serving English village classics and Thai inspired specials.
Good luck to John and Jane for bringing this beautiful pub back into the community, Experience Henley will definitely be dropping by.
