Henley-on-Thames is celebrating a landmark national triumph after being named Best Town in the UK at the Britain in Bloom awards, securing Gold and a coveted Judges’ Highlight Award for Henley Adventure Golf. The honour marks Henley’s strongest Bloom performance to date and follows closely on the heels of its regional Gold win, rounding off an exceptional year for the town.

Town Clerk Sheridan Jacklin-Edward praised the achievement, describing it as “Henley’s best ever result in Bloom,” and commended the dedication of council staff, community organisations and volunteers. He offered particular thanks to Kyle, Karl and the Parks team, whose commitment and long hours ensured the town was at its very best for judging.

This national recognition reflects the combined efforts of the council’s staff, the Parks team, local groups, volunteers and the many organisations who contribute to Henley’s year-round Bloom activity. It also highlights the importance of the sponsors, whose support helps make these achievements possible. Henley Town Council extended its thanks to Active Security and Wilkins, alongside fellow sponsors ADVHQ, Blanchards Law, Catlin Ltd, Fidelity Group, Henley Royal Regatta and Tank2.

Founder Philippa Ratcliffe said, “Henley in Bloom is a wonderful example of what our town can achieve when we work together.
