Henley Farm & Country Show (The Henley Show) Since 1891 Henley Show has been one of the largest events in the area and is the best one-day agricultural show in Oxfordshire. A fun, family day visited by thousands every year, many who return annually because it’s just, well such a fabulous event! Stonor Joust Lord Camoys, Commander of the Left Flank at the Battle of Agincourt, invites you to his annual Jousting Tournament at Stonor Park on 17th & 18th September. Join the Knights of Royal England for an epic display of Medieval Jousting at Stonor Park. A truly memorable joust will take place during which knights in full armour will stop at nothing, charging full tilt on Andalusian geldings in an attempt to strike their opponent’s shield and knock them out of their saddle Medieval Jousting – Stonor
Maharaja’s Well – Tour and Talk As part of the Chilterns Heritage Festival a fascinating talk and tour of the historic 25ft. high iron and gilt Indian temple-style Well with winding gear. A gift from the Maharaja of Benares to supply fresh water for the poor villagers of Stoke Row. The Well was built in 1863 with gardens and orchard park and warden’s cottage. Jackie Oates at Nettlebed Village Club September 2022 sees the launch of Gracious Wings, the 8th solo studio album by Jackie Oates. Regarded as one of the country’s best loved folk performers, Jackie’s current focus is on collaborating with a diverse array of artists and commissions and is performing at the Nettlebed Folk Club on September 19th. Henley Beer Festival On Saturday 24th September Henley Rugby Club will play host to it’s home grown beer festival from noon with live music and food plus Henley Hawks v Barnes 3pm kick off.
It all gets busy in the last week of September starting with The Henley Decor Fair 22nd-25th with over 150 of the finest UK and international decorative traders followed by Henley’s Great Big Green Week with events running from 24th Sept-2nd Oct. Saturday 24th sees the first Illuminated Boat Parade and on Sunday 25th you can enjoy some jazz in the vines at Oaken Grove Vineyard Latin Wave Lunch & Jazz followed by Quivers ‘the drag pile of sh*te from the sunny Isle of Wight’ at Magoos!

Greys Court A fabulous opportunity to get out and about and enjoy the beautiful grounds of this wonderful National Trust property. There is an upcoming exhibition Building Royal Connections: Three women of Greys Court that uses the lives of three women to tell the Tudor history of Greys Court which opens on 9th September, Silent Space on Sunday mornings between 10-11.30am, the Archbishop’s Maze becomes a silent space. There is FREE ENTRY to Greys Court for Heritage Open Days 12th-16th September and Silent Woodland Walks to enjoy a quiet meditative walk through the peaceful woodland at Greys Court.
