After a hugely successful event by Greener Henley last year Henley’s Big Green Week is back bigger & greener from 24th Sept – 2nd October.

Their opening event on Saturday 24th September in Henley Market Place will have around 30 different stalls and activities.

Other green activities and projects throughout the week include ‘New Dish of the Week’ from local restaurants highlighting their vegetarian and vegan dishes.

There will be a river clean on the Saturday morning and Greener Henley will be inviting shops and businesses to display their ‘green’ credentials in their windows.

All week there will be a display of children’s work in the Public Library in answer to the question “How important are insects?”

At least two talks will be held during the week, one a seminar ‘Green tactics for Henley businesses’ and the other a public consultation/workshop about the proposed Climate and Nature Hub.

Walkers are Welcome will be doing a Litter Pick.

The Great Big Green Week is a national celebration of all that communities are doing to improve our climate and environmental situation.  The Climate Coalition are behind the week and have many supporters including The W.I., the National Trust, RSPB, WWF, Fairtrade Foundation and many others from all walks of life
