The Kenton Theatre Getting the Show on the Road

Finally, after a long wait, The Kenton Theatre is getting the ‘Show on the Road’ starting with the On The Road Comedy Club on Saturday July 16th, a Kenton For Keeps re-opening party on 23rd July and The Kenton Summer Roadshow beginning on Saturday 24th July.

With the end of social distancing restrictions finally on the horizon, The Kenton Theatre has said that it is delighted to be able to begin to host shows once again.

The first show at the theatre should put a smile on plenty of faces. The On The Road Comedy Club hits the stage on 16th July and features comedians Mark Simmons, Josh Berry and Adele Cliff.

The theatre announces its return after restrictions are expected to be lifted with a special day on Friday 23rd July – with the Kenton For Keeps Re-opening Party. Kenton For Keeps is the fundraising drive that has been instrumental in keeping the theatre running during lockdown, and this event will be something of a thank you to the people of Henley and a celebration of the theatre’s importance to the community. There will be two events – one at 3.30pm for families and another at 8pm for grown ups. With DJ Gary Boys spinning the wheels of steel and a host of local musicians on hand it promises to be a wonderful evening of celebration.

In order to make the most of the glorious summer and surroundings of Henley. The Kenton has also announced the Kenton Summer Roadshow – a series of special outdoor shows over the summer to keep everyone entertained, so grab some tickets, a blanket and a picnic.

On Saturday 24th July The Three Musketeers presented by Morgan And West kicks the series off at Mill Meadows, with The Wind In The Willows at Peel Fold in Mill Lane on 29th to 31st July, The Lion Inside on 8th August at Mill Meadows, and HMS Pinafore at Henley Rugby Club on 28th August.

It’s shaping up to be a great summer, and the Kenton is proud to be a part of it.
