Move over M&Co it’s McDonald’s Drive Thru

The famous ‘golden arches’ are to make an appearance in the quintessential English town of Henley-on-Thames as M&Co is set to be a McDonald’s drive thru says a local sauce.

Alisa Floyd-Pro, town planner said that it was a “positive move to update boring old Henley”. She said that one of the stipulations for the fast food chain moving into the town though was to rename their burgers with iconic places and names of Henley, for example it would be a Quarterdeck & Cheese instead of a quarter pounder giving a nod to the ship chic bar that can be found at The Relais Hotel.

H-O-T ‘n’ Spicy would replace the McSpicy, the Bacon Henley Bridge Burger instead of a double cheeseburger and the ‘Greener Henley’ Vegetable Deluxe. The pineapple stick is mooted to be renamed Hamilton’s Choice.

She continued, “The road next to Waitrose would no longer act as an access road but be the drive thru lane for the restaurant. I can’t see any problems with that, in fact I think it will help with traffic flow around the town.”

Local resident Justin Forlavs says that he can’t wait for it to open and tuck into some Regatta Nuggets and a Sausage & Egg McGainsborough on a weekend, whilst when asked her thoughts Lady Audrey Farquharson nearly passed out with shock at the mere idea!

Do you want Friar Park Fries with that?

In case you hadn’t guessed by now…it was in fact…a lie #AprilFools
