Henley King’s Coronation Flotilla

“Not TOO organised! Just a very ‘Henley’ way of saying ‘God Save The King'”, says Lady Judy McAlpine, who along with the Thames Traditional Boat Festival team, are organising Henley’s Coronation Flotilla of boats on Monday 8th May to celebrate the King’s Coronation.

Everyone in the local boating and river fraternity is being invited to join in whatever their craft, starting at Hambleden Lock at 2pm, turning at Marsh Lock and back to Hambleden.

There will be prizes for best dressed boats.

To be on the ‘official’ register which will go to The King, any one interested in taking part send your name and boat type to events@fawleyhill.co.uk.

Charities and local organisations are encourage to get involved by selling refreshments along the route. If anyone wishes to do this or to just have a presence, get in contact with the organisers at the above email address.

The Henley Coronation Flotilla is being organised by The TRAD Boat Festival in association with Henley Town Council.
