Henley Hosts ‘Fashion as a Force for Good’ Fundraiser for women’s charity, Smart Works Reading

Caryn Franklin MBE to join panel

Smart Works Reading brings an inspiring fundraising event to Leander Club, Henley on Wednesday 15th November. The Fashion as Force for Good event is being organised by the charity to raise money to fund its job interview dressing and coaching service for local unemployed women.

The event will feature a panel discussing fashion and positive change, with a stellar line up of speakers from the fashion industry including former Clothes Show presenter and fashion and identity commentator, Caryn Franklin MBE. She will be joined by former executive editor of Vogue and sustainable fashion advocate, Ginnie Chadwyck-Healey and fashion disruptor and founder of Hope Fashion, Nayna McIntosh. The panel discussion will be hosted by stylist and presenter, Patsy Dhir

Guests at the Henley event can shop sustainably, win incredible raffles prizes and enjoy a class of fizz at the beautiful Leander Club. The Club has generously gifted the use of its event space for the evening. All proceeds will help fund Smart Works Reading’s free job interview coaching and clothing service for women seeking employment.

“I’m looking forward to taking part in Smart Works Reading’s event celebrating the many ways fashion and good design really can be a force for good,” said Caryn Franklin. “This charity does great work empowering women in the community, who are seeking work and I’m delighted help raise funds to support its mission.”

Patsy Dhir, who is a Trustee of Smart Works Reading, said; “We are excited to host this inspiring evening in Henley, bringing together some big-name fashion experts to share their insights and experience, while raising much-needed funds for Smart Works Reading.”

Tickets are £35 and include a goody bag for each guest.
