Darka’s Bakery of Croatian Flavours

We think it’s safe to say that Henley is blessed with superb choices of bakeries, breads, cake and sweet treats in our various cafes, coffee shops and delis with influences from Georgia, Finland, Sweden and the good ol’ US of A and now introducing Darka’s Bakery who brings Croatian flavours to Henley.

Darka Nedug is a busy mum of two, a nurse and has a real passion for baking. She got the idea for Darka’s bakery whilst trying out some of her Grandmothers recipes during her first maternity leave. Owning a bakery has been a long term dream of hers.

Darka’s is a small, home-based bakery in the heart of Henley and her mission is simple, “to provide the community with amazing produce like Croatian bread, pastries and cakes just as my Grandmother has done for many years for all of her family in Croatia. I’ve recently started making meat and cheese platters for birthday parties or events which is an amazing addition to my business. I am always learning new recipes and I love to incorporate them with existing ones.”

She welcomes everyone to order her delicious products. To order from Darka or find out more about what she can supply you can contact her through her Instagram account @darkasbakery or try some of her delicious offerings in the Watercolour Art & Play Cafe behind Henley Town Hall.
