Introducing a proposed new concept store for wine connoisseurs, a ‘wine store that pours’, in Henley-on-Thames. We’re loving the sound of that! A wine store that serves by the glass or bottle to be enjoyed in the venue, and to sell bottles for take home as well as offering a home delivery service.

Business partners Eddie McGee and John Hatfield who are hoping to open the new wine shop and bar in the former White Garden florists in Hart Street said, “we will be curating an upmarket collection of wines from France and Italy principally, with a small selection from the rest of the world. We are importers and our products are mostly exclusive to us as our suppliers work with very few outlets in the UK. It will be a space for wine appreciation with wine tastings and events and to be a space for people to enjoy wine and taste wine in a sophisticated and relaxed in enviroment for both connoisseurs and those who just enjoy or are looking to explore.”

They said that they are huge supporters of independent purveyors and are keen to work together with local producers and traders and will be offering nibbles and bites to accompany their wine and spirits offering with occasional seasonal offers of beer and cider.

Mr McGee and Mr Hatfield have submitted an application for a premises licence.
