English Wine Week Festival goes riverside

Henley’s English Wine Week Festival returns on Saturday 20th June, and this year it arrives with a fresh new setting on the riverbank lawns beside Thameside Social, just a short stroll from the town centre. After several successful years in Henley Market Place, the festival is moving to the water’s edge for a relaxed, summery, open‑air experience that pairs perfectly with a glass of English wine.

The new riverside location brings uninterrupted views of the Thames, with riverside seating right by the finish line of Henley Women’s Regatta. Visitors will be able to meet winemakers, sample a wide range of still and sparkling wines, and discover the craft behind some of the region’s most exciting bottles. This year’s line‑up includes local favourites such as Fairmile Vineyard, Hundred Hills, Stonor Valley Wine Farm, JoJo’s Vineyard, and VynDene, alongside acclaimed producers from across the South East including Stanlake Park, All Angels, Harrow & Hope, Roebuck Estates, and more.

Adding to the festival experience, is Thameside Social‘s Hawkstone Enclosure Bar & Street Food plus wine‑festival favourites such as Brindisa’s hand‑carved Ibérico ham, freshly sliced to order, and the hugely popular oysters. It’s a chance to try exceptional English wines with amazing food.

Tasting tokens can be purchased in advance from Pavilion Foods in Market Place or collected on the day from Thameside Social, making it easy for visitors to explore the full breadth of wines on offer. Additional stalls will showcase vineyard tours, tasting experiences, and wine‑related gifts.

The festival has free entry and is just a 10‑minute riverside walk from the town centre, with taxi drop‑off available and a dedicated ferry boat service planned to bring guests in via the river — a fitting arrival!
