8 Things to do this week 1st-5th December

Here we go, December is upon us tomorrow and the festive feels are all around. Drag Yourself Out – to the mayor’s Xmas party – Fri 3rd Dec

This Friday 3rd December it’s The Mayor’s Christmas Charity Drag Karaoke Night. A night of music, singing, Champagne, cocktails, shots, a dash of food, and plenty of FUN raising money for the Royal British Legion and Regatta for the Disabled. There are only a handful of tickets still available. Late Night Shopping at Blue Tin Produce – Fri 3rd dec

Friday 3rd Dec Gin tasting from OX Gins, the Makan Malaysia crew serving their incredible food, Bam Bam Rocks’ beautiful candles, local, handmade gorgeous gifts, bar, mulled stuff, fizzy stuff, firepits and fairy lights. This is not a ticketed event so if busy do be prepared to park in the field and rock the welly chic. From 5.30pm until 10 ish.

Outdoor market with a variety of stalls including Christmas wreaths that you’ll be able to preorder from Velvet & Blooms, and delicious jarred goodies from Jessica’s Jars, as well as fun games for all the family from tombolas to hook a bauble. There will also be an indoor cafe and bar offering mulled wine, beer, soft drinks, hot chocolate, mince pies and hot dogs, plus face painting and balloon modelling to keep little ones amused while you have a pit stop. Plus, Father Christmas in his grotto, and community carols by candleight to finish off the event and get you fully in the festive spirit. 1-4pm

Hambleden Charity Christmas Bazaar- Sat 4th dec

A Christmas Charity bazaar organised by Hambleden Village Stores and The Hambleden Social Club and Village Hall on Saturday 4th December to support DASH, a local charity for abused women and children. There will be 25 stalls, roasted chestnuts, mulled wine and the big man himself, Father Christmas.

Live Music, Nikki Petherick at The Three Tuns – Sun 5th dec

Nikki Petherick is a singer songwriter from Oxfordshire UK.  She is a regular performer in Oxfordshire and the surrounding counties, including London, week in week out. Drawing from a variety of genres including Folk, Country and Blues, Nikki fuses all the music she loves into one. Life is about taking chances, about new experiences, one of these experiences found Nikki in the Deep South joining blues musicians on stage in Memphis and Country bands in Nashville. Starts 8.00pm

Stand-Up Comedy Cabaret at The Maltsters – Sun 5th dec

The last Purple Curtain of 2021. Fish and Chip supper tickets available as well as general admission. Christmas Lino Printing at Henley School of Art – Sun 5th dec
