The Only Way is Clay | New Salon Experience
A whole new salon experience has landed in Henley. Nestled in a delightful secluded courtyard tucked away off Hart Street is a new oasis and holistic space for hair and beauty treatments, Clay Salon.
The space is open and airy with oak floors, a terrace garden and lots of green plants that make it feel like a sanctuary rather than a traditional hair salon.
Clay is the creation of Russell Sutherland, freelance hair artist who specialises in lived in colour and balayage, who wanted to provide a different salon experience to the busy, frenetic pace and noise of a conventional hair salon. It is also the first salon in Henley-on-Thames to be an exclusive co-working salon for the self employed.
Russell says that, as a self employed hair stylist, he wanted to create a collaborative vibe working environment for self-employed stylists by giving them their own space working with fellow peers.
He has created a unique and tranquil location for clients to enjoy during their time in Clay Salon, some of which requires a lot of waiting around, especially with colour treatments. He believes that this element of anyone’s appointment should be as an enjoyable and relaxing as any other detail of the experience.
