Romantic Night in for Two? Valentine Meals at Home
We are certainly in strange times at the moment and another moment in our annual calendars has to take on a different guise. For those of you who normally treat your loved ones to a slap up meal out. DO NOT FEAR, chefs near and far have designed menus especially so you don’t have to cook and you can wow your partner with some scrumptious food. So, if you don’t fancy cooking yourself, why not take the pressure off with a special Valentine’s Day meal already prepared for you.
We have sought out some of the fabulous local Dine At Home opportunities below. You need to get in quick though.
Orwells – Valentine’s Day experience
The Orwells guys tell you get the candles lit and set the table for a memorable evening at home and we can see why. They have rustled up a superb sounding tasting menu including dishes of smoked scallop, duck, lobster, beef fillet and deserts.
Local pick up is on 12th or 13th February. Local deliveries are available for 13th February and national deliveries shipped on Friday 12th.
Cut off date for ordering the menu is Sunday 7th February. We have a feeling that this is going to be a popular one. You also have the option of adding flowers or wine to your order.

Chef Simon McKenzie – Valentine’s Day Restaurant Boxes
Specially designed restaurant boxes come with all preparations done and detailed instructions so even the most novice of cooks won’t fail to impress!
Pre-ordered boxes will be delivered on either 13th or 14th February, depending on location. There are limited numbers of boxes available and cut off for orders is noon, 9th February 2021.
The Valentine’s Restaurant Box consists of a seven course menu with romatic indulgencies including caviar and winter truffles.

Roasted by Jack & Scott – Valentine’s Day Box
The Valentines Day Box will be delivered on the 12th of February and contains a five-course menu to serve two people with wine pairing. Orders must be placed by Tuesday 9th February.
The menu begins with Ravioli of Wild Mushroom and Truffle, Sage and Butter Dressing, followed by a rich dish inspired by Jack’s Dad, Heston Blumenthal, of Roasted Scallop, Caviar and White Chocolate Veloute.
Then onto their incredibly popular 28 Day Aged Fillet Steak, Dauphinoise Potato, Roasted Heritage Carrots and Turnips with a Red Wine and Bone Marrow Jus

All the dishes are prepared in advance and delivered ready to serve or warm in the oven before serving. L’Ortolan – Valentine’s Hampers

The Greyhound – Valentine’s Day ‘At Home Box
Start your evening with a couple of Pornstar Martinis’, followed by a decadent 3-course menu. If a Chateaubriand doesn’t float your boat there is an option for Miso-Glazed Halibut. And to finish off you have AWT’s handmade Bailey’s chocolate truffles.
