Last night (Oct 19th) attendees of the first of Chin Chin’s Meet the Producer nights, were treated to a wonderful insightful, engaging, entertaining and downright tasty evening.

Chin Chin had invited Jorge Crotta, partner at the wonderful Argentinan producer, TintoNegro. TintoNegro, meaning black wine in Spanish, is meant to celebrate the essence of Malbec in Mendoza. Known for its dark, blackish color Malbec is definitely a TintoNegro.

Jorge shared his extensive knowledge and gave a journey up the mountain describing how the tastes of the wines change as the altitude and terroirs change. A fascinating insight. The Argentinian wines Jorge guided us through were TintoNegro’s Mendoza, Limestone Block, Finca La Escuela and Vineyard 1955.

With a welcome drink of delicious pink bubbles and a groaning board of meats and cheeses to go with the tasting of the wines, it makes for a fantastic couple of hours spent midweek and terrific value for money at £15 per person.

Chin chin everyone and keep your eyes peeled for future events.
