Jimmy Garcia’s ‘A Taste of Henley’ returns after Lockdown Lodge Sell Out

Jimmy Garcia’s ‘Taste of Henley’ in association with Mr Hobbs Gin is returning this winter to Henley-on-Thames after a sell out summer at the Lockdown Lodge.

Renowned British Chef, Jimmy Garcia and the team will be bringing their locally sourced seasonal menu to The New Orleans paddle steamer run by Hobbs of Henley for a unique dining experience like no other this winter.

Guests will be able to enjoy a 5-course menu on The New Orleans which will be docked at Hobbs of Henley with beautiful, uniterrupted view of the river.

Open Wednesday – Sunday for seven weeks from 4th November until 20th December, the menu highlights the abundance of delicious food in the surrounding Henley-on-Thames with each course of the five-course tasting menu feast, featuring local produce and of course, local Mr Hobbs Gin.

  • Aldens Fish Market Smoked and Torched Cornish Mackerel, Beetroot Carpaccio, Apple, Seaherbs, Horseradish Yoghurt
  • Lawlor’s Bakery Foraged Wild Mushrooms, Sourdough, Salsify, Crispy Chicken Skin, Black Garlic
  • Vicar’s Game Loin of Wild Venison, Charred Leeks, Smoked Pomme Puree, Pinot Noir jus, Grated Chestnut
  • Blue Tin Produce Tonka Bean Creme Brulee, Spartan Apple and Poached Blackberries, Apple Sorbet

  • 4th November – 20th December. Wednesday – Sunday each week only 
  • Wednesday – Saturday 6.30pm cocktail with a 7pm sitting 
  • Sunday – 1pm cocktail with a 1.30pm sitting 
  • Menu – £49 per person  *S’mores and boozy hot chocolate available post meal for an extra charge of £24 for two
