Informality announces representation of Rain Wu

Informality Gallery are excited to announce the galleries representation of British based, Taiwanese artist, Rain Wu.

Rain Wu’s work will exhibit for the first time in their group exhibition ‘From Nature’ which explores raw materials in the works of seven international contemporary artists.

Rain Wu. Born 1987 has spent her career dedicated to the intersection between architecture and art. Research led and conceptually driven, her work materialises in multiple disciplines, from drawing, sculpture, food performance and Installation. Rain Wu is interested in exploring the temporality of working with perishable materials as a sculptural medium to investigate questions and discussions around our relationships with nature.

Working with Rain extends Informality’s focus and dedication to working with the artistic visions of interdisciplinary artists who explore the environment in their practice.

Rain Wu’s work has been exhibited at the Sharjah Biennial (2017), Taipei Biennial (2017), The Palestinian Museum (2017), London Design Biennale (2016) and the Lisbon Architecture Triennale (2013).

Informality Gallery

Informality formed in 2019 as a project/gallery space with a nomadic programme holding exhibitions, focusing on two themes; the environment and co-existence.

The project space sits in the centre of Henley-on-Thames, a world renowned market town in the UK and is committed to educating a wider audience for contemporary art.

Informality also holds exhibitions with artists’, site-specifically and supports Australasian contemporary art.
