New to Experience Henley – A weekly round-up of what’s on and must sees at Henley’s fabulous three screen cinema, The Regal Picturehouse in Borama Way.

There’s something for everyone at the Regal this week with a trio of exciting new releases:

SPACE JAM: A NEW LEGACY (U) pairs LeBron James with a familiar cast of Looney Tunes favourites including Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Tweety Pie. The gang face off against Don Cheadle and his digitized champions for a high-stakes basketball game in this twist on the 90s classic.

SPACE JAM is also the Big Scream showing for mums and babies on Friday morning.  

CROODS 2: A NEW AGE (U) brings together a stellar cast of voice actors including Emma Stone, Ryan Reynolds, Peter Dinklage and Nicholas Cage. This animated sequel finds the Croods forced to embrace modernity to survive.

NOWHERE SPECIAL (PG) is a tender, intimate drama that follows a young man chasing a better life for his son.  John, as a sole parent learning he has just months left to live, sets about trying to find the perfect replacement family for his young son.

Scarlett Johansson finally takes centre stage in BLACK WIDOW (12A), the most successful film of the year and the launching point of the next phase of Marvel adventures. Florence Pugh, Ray Winstone and Rachel Weisz round out the cast in this action-packed blockbuster.

Fan-favourite Mads Mikkelsen shines in Danish film ANOTHER ROUND (12A), the winner of both Academy and BAFTA awards for Best International Film. He leads a group of middle-aged teachers attempting to transform their lives through ever-increasing alcohol consumption in this quirky comedy.

From the creator of Hamilton and the director of Crazy Rich Asians, IN THE HEIGHTS (PG) combines vibrant, fully choreographed musical numbers with an intimate human story celebrating the strength of community and friendship in Washinton Heights.
