On a beautiful warm summers evening Jacobini, the new wine store that pours opened it’s doors in Hart Street last Friday.

What was a flower shop has now been lovingly transformed into a cosy and informal space with a wall of wine, an extensive cellar and ‘Jaco-bites’ from the new wine store’s changing daily appetizers menu, from Tapas to Sushi and Thai to Antipasti.

Partners Eddie and John have a curated selection of more than one hundred wines that is available aside of what is on the shelves in the shop. The wine list includes big reds from Toscana, Piedmont, Burgundy, Bordeaux and the Napa Valley. Some of the wines are exclusive in the UK to Jacobini, supplied directly by their Italian and French vineyard and winery partners.

Wines are available by the bottle or the case, can be delivered locally and they are also offering a takeaway selection of their antipasti and daily appetisers.

If you fancy a tipple of something else, Jacobini have a selection of Champagnes ~ Rosé , Blanc de Blanc, Tsarine, Veuve Cliquot and more plus local sparkling wines from Oaken Grove and Fairmile Vineyards. What’s more, champagne cocktails and martinis are available along with award winning Henley Distillery Gins.

You will also find local artist Kirsten Jones‘ art adorning the walls which is available to purchase.

We’ll definitely be in on Tapas Tuesday for a bottle of Rioja or Albariño to go with the Patatas Bravas, Chorizo & Jamón and Pulpo a la Gallega (Galician sliced octopus).
