A firm favourite on the Henley dining scene, Restaurant Dominic Chapman has been awarded a Diners’ Choice Award by restaurant booking platform OpenTable.

The OpenTable’s Diners’ Choice Award recognises restaurants that have received the highest ratings in recent reviews by genuine, verified diners. Restaurants must meet a minimum threshold of reviews to be eligible for a Diners’ Choice Award, and winning venues are featured in additional sections of OpenTable’s website.

Dominic Chapman said: “I’m thrilled that Restaurant Dominic Chapman has been voted a Diners’ Choice 2024 on OpenTable! Huge thanks to our amazing team, especially head chef Dave Thompson, as well as all our guests who have given us such brilliant feedback, and the Henley community which has been so welcoming to us since opening just a few months ago.”

Restaurant Dominic Chapman is chef Dominic Chapman’s first restaurant in Henley-on-Thames, offering classic British dishes using local produce. The 60-cover restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner with Chapman heading the kitchen as executive chef, and long-term colleague David Thompson as head chef.

Chapman’s illustrious career saw him head the Michelin-starred kitchen at the Royal Oak in Paley Street, Maidenhead, before opening the Beehive, which he ran for nine years. He also owns the Crown in Burchett’s Green. His new venture is fast becoming a beacon of classic dining drawing foodies to the town to try out his dishes.

The restaurant is based in the 40-room boutique riverside hotel The Relais Henley.
