New ‘Brewer’ at the helm
The Anchor, a cosy Brakspear pub in Friday Street where you can enjoy a pint and a bite with the locals welcomes new tenants, Wes Brewer (what a great name for a pub landlord) and his partner Theresa Parker.
They are both thrilled to be back in the pub business after running a pub in Kent are looking forward to getting their hands on The Anchor, meeting customers old and new serving a great pint and delicious seasonal pub food.
Wes and Theresa love the traditional charm of The Anchor and they want to keep it that way. They also want to make it a welcoming place for families and dogs. Theresa says, “we have friends in Hambleden and we know Henley well. We’re looking forward to working with local producers and suppliers.” They also have some exciting plans for the spacious garden. A hidden gem in the centre of town.
Brakspear CEO Tom Davies says, “We’re very happy to have Wes and Teresa at The Anchor. They have a lot of enthusiasm and great ideas. I’m sure they will be a great addition to the Henley pub scene.”
The Anchor will open its doors again at 12pm on Friday 9th June. Pop in to say hello and have a drink with Wes and Theresa.
