Imma the Bakery Strikes Gold at Britain’s Best Loaf 2025

Huge congratulations to Imma the Bakery, who have once again proven their mastery of artisan baking, walking away with an incredible three golds at this year’s Britain’s Best Loaf competition.
After winning Best Loaf for their sourdough in 2024, competition rules meant they couldn’t enter the same category again this year but that didn’t stop them from making waves. 2025 has been a golden year for them, with top honours for their Miso & Sesame (Flavoured Sourdough), Old Granary (Whole Grain), and Seeded Country (Seeded Sourdough).
And as if that treasure trove of gold wasn’t enough, their Cheddar & Onion and Lemon & Olive loaves also bagged bronze, securing their status as one of the best artisan bakeries in the country.
The team at Imma the Bakery live and breathe bread. In their own words:
“We took an oath as bakers—and we’ll die before we forget it. Every day, rain or shine, tired or inspired, we show up for the bread. Because bread is what we do. We live it, breathe it, and bake it with every fibre of our being.”
Not being able to submit their signature sourdough this year didn’t stop them from rising to the occasion. To be recognised yet again, across new categories, is pretty special.
“We’ve worked so hard for this. And we carry on—making beautiful, honest bread, day in and day out, for every soul who walks through our door. Affordable, handmade, and always made with love.”
So, whether you’re a sourdough purist or a fan of bold, inventive flavours, Imma the Bakery is proving that passion, tradition, and artistry make for award-winning loaves.
Congratulations to the entire team, this is what they do, and they’re not stopping anytime soon!
Not tried their bread yet? You’re going to need to get in the queue.
