A new salon, Mary Handy Hair & Beauty is opening soon in Duke Street.

Mary Handy, a popular hair salon in Wallingford, said that they have simply outgrown their business and that the former Rudi Kartal site was exactly what they need to progress further.

Salon Co-ordinator Kai said, ” Wallingford has been brilliant to us but Henley feels like the next positive step in our evolution and we can’t wait for our existing clientele and new guests alike to join us in our new venture.”

Kai continued, “with our highly skilled team of experts, our philosophy of nurturing and developing creative talent, providing our guests a unique and luxurious experience and using the very best in cruelty-free, vegan products, our AVEDA Lifestyle Salon & Spa will create an oasis of calm and creativity for the community of Henley.

Our new, larger salon will also give us the ability to offer far more body and beauty treatments – so guests can feel cherished and revived from top to toe! We have a range of medical and aesthetic practitioners booked in for regular guest spots, helping us to provide a greater range of holistic and therapeutic remedies for body, mind and soul. 

We are also very proud to be a local leader in encouraging positive change within the hairdressing industry by being one of the only salons in Oxfordshire to be partnered with Green Salon Collective, an incredible initiative that is redefining sustainability within hairdressing – allowing us the recycle up to 95% of our waste and creating a greener, eco-conscious experience for our guests.​

Since Mary Handy was established in 2012, it has grown a reputation within for providing a niche-experience; combining a welcoming space, amazing customer service and beautiful hair plus complimentary extras that help us stand out from the crowd including AVEDA Ritual Hand and Head Massages, Leg & Foot massage machines, an array of delicious drinks and, most importantly, a cuddle with our little loving Chihuahua, and salon mascot, Mr Handy!
