IT’S HERE – the first light of Henley’s lockdown lifting. GOOD LUCK to everyone opening their doors today after a long absence and what feels like a long old winter.

Henley has been amazing during all the lockdowns we have had, with local businesses and residents with their ingenuity, positivity, ability to adapt and mutual support showing the town as a shining beacon of what a town and it’s community can be. We all know this to be true and the town even received the accolade as Britain’s No.2 leading shopping location in this years vitality report.

Let’s continue to keep up the hard work and stay safe and hope that we won’t have to resurrect our Stay At Home page anytime soon. There’s a bumper load of fantastic events coming up this summer to make up for last year including Henley Festival in September, it’s extra Summer Fling event in July and Henley Royal Regatta in August and we all deserve to have some fun. Condé Nast Traveler recently picked out local eateries among ’10 brilliant lunch spots near London’, Tom Parker Bowles gives Crockers of Henley the thumbs up in the Mail On Sunday and the Evening Standard lists Henley as one of 10 day trips to do this April.

Henley’s iconic riverside hotel is getting a new lease of life as The Relais at the Red Lion, there are lots of new shops, restaurants and venues opening up soon…watch this space and a smörgåsbord of summer pop-ups.
