This October, the Henley Literary Festival will host a timely and thought-provoking event in partnership with local charity Greener Henley, bringing the climate and nature emergency to centre stage.
On Saturday 4th October at 4pm, the Gower Cottage Brownies Stage at Henley Town Hall will welcome two leading voices in environmental action: Tony Juniper, Chair of Natural England and co-author of Harmony with King Charles III, and Sangeeta Waldron, award-winning communications expert and author of What Will Your Legacy Be?
Chaired by Mike Barry, Greener Henley’s Chair of Trustees and former Head of Sustainability at Marks & Spencer, the panel will explore how grassroots action, truth, and personal responsibility can drive meaningful change. From global inequality to local resilience, the conversation promises to challenge, inspire, and galvanise.
“This is a vital conversation at a vital time,” says Mike Barry. “Through this partnership with Henley Literary Festival, we’re bringing climate, nature and community to the heart of our town’s cultural life.”
With only one event like this on the programme, it’s a must-attend for anyone passionate about sustainability, storytelling, and shaping a better future.
