The Quaker Peace Garden
Have you ever wondered about what lies behind the walls in some of our older properties in Henley? Well now’s your chance to enjoy one of the most tranquil spaces in the heart of the town. Henley Quakers are opening their lovely garden behind the Meeting House to visitors on the afternoon of Sunday 18th May from 2 to 5 p.m.
All will be welcome to wander and reflect in this delightful hidden garden bordered by a listed flint wall. The garden stretches down to a small orchard which includes a lovely old quince tree all set within the old Quaker Burial Ground.
You may like to walk around our quiet space taking time to refresh yourself. Or you may wish to just sit quietly among the scents and natural sounds of this special place. There will be a place set aside for quiet reflection. Whatever you choose to do, we hope you will feel refreshed by the specialness of this lovely garden.
We hope you will be able to share refreshments for the body too in the form of tea and cakes.
You will find us at the Friends Meeting House, 45 Northfield End, Henley RG9 2JJ.
We look forward to your visit.
