THE FLOATING STAGE

Sam Ryder rose to prominence in 2020, after posting music covers on TikTok, during the first UK lockdown of the COVID-19 pandemic and signed to Parlophone Records. His music has since incorporated various genres including rock music, pop, alternative rock, and metalcore, while his vocal range, and use of vibrato and falsetto has garnered critical acclaim.^[2] In 2023, he left Parlophone Records and became an Independent artist.

Ryder’s breakthrough came after he represented the United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest 2022 with the song “Space Man“, becoming the highest scoring UK entrant with 466 points, and finishing first in the jury vote and second overall in the contest. His entry scored the UK their best result since 1998 and its first top three since 2002. It peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart, becoming the highest-charting UK Eurovision entry since 1996. His participation has been credited for helping change how the British public and press view the Contest. As part of his solo career, he has released the singles “Fought & Lost“, “Mountain” and “You’re Christmas to Me“.

Ryder’s debut studio album There’s Nothing but Space, Man! (2022) debuted at number one on the UK Albums Chart, and he was later nominated for Best New Artist at the 2023 Brit Awards, becoming the first Eurovision act to be nominated in this category. His other accolades include a Marcel Bezençon Award, five TikTok awards, a Big Top 40 award, and Hollywood Music in Media Award. He has also been nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award, Los 40 Music Award, Global Award, Edinburgh International Television Festival and a MTV Video Music Award.

Jesse Smith is a singer, songwriter and musician. He has been the voice of dozens of projects including  Strictly Come Dancing, The Classic Rock Show, Led Zeppelin Symphonic, SAS Band (with Roger Taylor), Earl Slick, Gutterdämmerung, Thriller Live and more. With these projects Jesse has toured globally and played venues such as Wembley Arena, The London Palladium, The Echo Arena Liverpool, The Olympic Stadium Münich, Le Grand Rex Paris, The Herodio Athens and many more.

COMEDY @ RIVERSIDE CABARET

Stand-up comedian and television presenter Dara O’Briain is best known in the UK for hosting BBC’s Mock the Week, BlockBusters, Robot Wars, Stargazing Live, Dara and Ed’s Great Big Adventure and Dara O’Briain’s Go 8Bit and most recently won Channel 4’s Taskmaster.

Dara’s last show Voice of Reason has been performed across the globe, touring in UK and Ireland, Scandinavia, mainland Europe, Australia and the Middle East. It was filmed and released as a BBC special in 2019.

FESTIVAL FOR FOOD LOVERS

From fine dining to street food, Henley is the Festival for food lovers with a raft of pop-up bars and restaurants adorning the riverside. Table dining is available at The Riverside Restaurant, the Riverside Kitchen, The Terrace Restaurant and new for 2024 award winning and renowned gastro pub The Bottle & Glass in Binfield Heath will be curating the water fronted The Henley Festival Bistro Garden.

Picnic Hampers are available from Pavilion foods in Henley for those wishing to start the evening off with a touch of ‘car park’ dining made easy.

VISUAL ARTS SHOWCASE

Henley Festival is known for bringing visual art to the forefront of the festival scene with innovative installations curated by some of the UK’s most talented artists, photographers and galleries.

This year’s programme will bring fine art, ceramics, sculptures, photography, prints and paintings to the banks of the Thames, with a raft of stunning work adorning the Festival’s Galleries and Sculpture Garden.

Exhibitors include Haut de Gamme, Punchbowl Gallery, The Barker Gallery, Panter & Hall and world-renowned artists Tommy Gurr and Nina Brooke.

PURE HEAVEN

Two of clubbing’s best known brands have joined forces to present PURE HEAVEN exclusively for the Henley Festival. Tris Levitate is a captivating force within London’s Club scene. As the visionary founder of Levitate London, he has formed a style that is both distinctive and deeply personal within the booth and the studio, whilst building a devoted following as a resident at the esteemed nightclub, E1. 

Having shared the stage over the past 2 years with international DJs such as Âme, Sasha, Brina Knauss, Jimi Jules & Konstantin Sibold, he has formally cemented himself as one of London’s most exciting upcoming talents.

SPECTACULAR FIREWORKS

Each iconic evening at Henley Festival is brought to a jaw dropping conclusion with spectacular firework displays exclusively designed by the passionate pyrotechnic professionals at Titanium Fireworks, the team behind some of the UK’s biggest firework shows in the last decade, from The Mayor of London New Year’s Eve celebrations, Edinburgh’s Hogmanay, Liverpool River of Light, Hull 2017 City of Culture, England 2015 Rugby World Cup, Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games to the London 2012 Olympics.
