If the Olympics and upcoming Paralympics are bringing out your competitive instincts fear not – everyone is welcome at the Remenham Village Fayre on 1st September at Remenham Parish Hall.

Plans include a fun Olympic-themed fancy dress competition for children, a ’show us a trick’ category in the ‘Best Pooch’ dog show and the much-loved Art & Produce show where art, veg, cakes and cocktails will compete for the judges’ attention.

Probably the most famous Bottle Tombola in Henley and district is back again and the Crockery Smash returns after a few years absence.

For the truly competitive the adults and children’s Tug of War will be the highlight of the afternoon – though no medals are on offer, just the satisfaction of pulling harder than the other team.  

Pre-loved children’s toys and books and useful and curious Bric a Brac stalls offer the chance for some retail therapy.  

Fun games for children along with the traditional WI Tea & Cakes, BBQ and bar will make for a brilliant family afternoon.
