Henley Swim Festival 2024
We’re very excited to be once again inviting you all to the Outdoor Swimmer Henley Swim Festival in July 2024.
In 2024, the 20th year of Henley Swim, the festival is going to be bigger and better as we add another night’s camping, more entertainment and attractions and new swim events to this fantastic gathering in the stunning setting of Temple Island Meadows.
This is one of the most exciting swimming events of the year. If you’re into outdoor swimming in any way, as an enthusiastic regular, or a interested bystander just considering dipping your toe in, or anything in between, then this festival is for you! It is also a great place to bring friends and family – swimming enthusiasts or not!
Although the core of the Festival remains open water swimming, there is so much more going on – if getting wet is not your thing, read on…
- Exhale Wellness Area – Saunas & Ice Baths, Massage, Stretch Sessions, Coffee and cocktails
- Zorb Zone – Inflatables for all the kids (including the grown up ones). Zorbs, water rollers, Aquabikes, Water-Peddlerz and more
- Live music, synchronised swimming displays, interviews, live chat
- Retail village with show offers
- Food & Drink
Offering a swim for everyone
Come and join us at Temple Island Meadows. There is nothing quite as exhilarating as swimming in open water, a sport that continues to grow around the world and which offers both physical and mental benefits. We offer a number of different distances from 200m to the UNLTD, and welcome all the family. Swimmers can take part in the 200m Splash from age 8, in the Half Mile from age 9 and the Mile from age 14. Children under 8 are allowed to swim in the supervised Lido, giving them a chance to experience the river in a safe and controlled environment.
All swimming events take place on SUNDAY 14th July. If you wish to swim (200m, Half Mile, Mile, 2 Miles, 4 Miles, UNLTD) you will need to register in advance.

Interested in Paddleboarding?
This year, The SUP Life will be offering 40 minute paddleboarding lessons, paddling upstream from the festival site into the gorgeous Oxfordshire countryside.
It’s a chance to get a unique perspective on the river and a break from the riverbank hustle and bustle. Suitable for 8 years and over, with no experience required and buoyancy aid included, the sessions can be booked in advance and cost £22pp (age 8+).
As SUP lessons often cost around £40, this is a fantastic way to try out paddleboarding for the first time and to explore the area around Temple Island Meadows from the river. Pre-booking essential.
