Henley Olympics Live
Henley Town Council has announced that a large screen will be set up in Market Place for residents and visitors to ‘bring the thrill of the Olympics to the heart of the town’ with an ‘Henley Olympics Live’ event.
The screen will be in situ 9.00am – 9.30pm from Wednesday 31st July – Sunday, 4th August where people can gather together to enjoy live BBC coverage of the Olympics. The town centre initiative spearheaded by Mayor, Rory Hunt, will feature various events, with a special focus on rowing during the mornings.
Some chairs will be provided, and the public will also be encouraged to bring their own chairs and picnics. Those visiting any of the Market Place bars and restaurants with outdoor seating will also have a fantastic view of the screen and can enjoy the festivities.
The pride of Henley shines through with 25 local athletes participating in the rowing events, offering a unique opportunity for the town to unite and cheer on in support.
Henley Town Council say to stay tuned for additional exciting announcements related to “Henley Olympics Live,” as they have more surprises in store to make it a memorable event for everyone.
