Christmas in the Park
Christmas in the Park
The festive extravaganza which opens each day from 4pm-10.30pm is promising an Illuminated Light Trail, Christmas Market, Live Entertainment, Movies, Pantos, a Feast Experience and Party Nights! Phew that’s a big sack of Christmas cheer!
An illuminating light trail featuring festive-themed installations will be the centrepiece of the event, featuring light tunnels, photo opportunities to capture memories and interactive surprises.
Visitors will enter via the Mistletoe Market brimming with Chalets filled with hand-crafted and unique Christmas gifts, tipples and treats from hot toddies and roasted chestnuts to cheese boards and marshmallow-topped hot chocolate. Amongst these delicious treats, will be a special offering from local chef, Tom Kerridge.
Mid-way through the trail, visitors will encounter the Winter Village, where the sounds of choirs and musicians performing live carols and classic Christmas songs will fill the air. There will also be firepits, pop-up bars and festive food from a hand-picked selection of gourmet street food trucks. And for the young, and young at heart, there will be a mini fairground.
As visitors journey through the woods, they can visit the Elves Workshop, where children can help the jolly band of elves from the National Elf Service with their preparations for the big day.
This 12-day celebration will also have a number of additional ticketed events taking place on selected dates, in and around, Higginson Park:
- Classic Christmas Movies – Grab a box of popcorn and enjoy everyone’s favourite festive flicks in the indoor pop-up cinema
- Family Pantomimes – Catch pantomime performances suitable for all ages in an indoor pop-up theatre
- Feasting Experiences – A special winter banquet experience in a covered outdoor setting
- Party Nights – A curated party night experience for groups of adults, including entry to the event
The event is organised by Brand Events, the people behind the annual Pub in the Park festival and the Marlow Comedy Weekender.
Tickets to the main event includes entry to the light trail and access to the Mistletoe Christmas Market and Winter Village start from £20 for adults and £12 for children (plus box office fees), with free entry for 0-2 year olds.
