Following the announcement of Elizabeth Day’s visit to Henley for a Henley Literary Festival Pop-up event back in February, tickets sold out quickly. Due to popular demand and a waiting list for tickets, the festival will now be live streaming this event to give everyone a chance to see Elizabeth in conversation with Fi Glover.

Elizabeth Day is a bestselling author, journalist and podcaster having topped the iTunes and Sunday Times charts with How to Fail and Magpie, has won millions of fans with her honest and insightful exploration of failure. In her latest book, Friendaholic: Confessions of a Friendship Addict, she shares her personal journey of discovering what true friendship means and how to cultivate it in a world of social media, ghosting and frenemies.

Growing up she wanted everyone to like her; lacking friends at school, she believed that quantity equalled quality. But in adulthood she slowly realised that it was often to the detriment of her own boundaries and mental health. Then, reassessing what friendship meant amid a pandemic it dawned on her that her truest friends were not the ones she had been spending most time with.

Elizabeth will be in conversation with Fi Glover, the Times Radio presenter and co-host of Did I Say That Out Loud? podcast with Jane Garvey. Fi is a brilliant interviewer and a friend of the festival.
