Experience Henley recently took advantage of the beautiful sunshine and headed to Piccolino in Market Place to try out the Experience Henley Club Lunch Menu. Sitting in Henley Market Place on a hot sunny day eating delicious food should be available on prescription!

The Club Lunch is exclusively available to Piccolino Club IR and Experience Henley Card members. This special offer gets you two courses for £21.25 or three for £26.50, plus a complimentary glass of house wine or beer only available for Experience Henley Cardholders. Available Mon-Thurs 12-5pm.

It’s a fantastic deal, and as we discovered, the portions are more than generous. We saved £60.00 on this three course meal by using our Experience Henley Card.

We kicked things off with the Calamari Fritti, light, crispy, and instantly transporting us to the Med, and the Capesante, pan-fried scallops with salmoriglio sauce, creamed potatoes, garlic spinach, and golden breadcrumbs. The scallops were beautifully cooked and generously sized.

This was followed by Grilled Seafood Skewers. Plump prawns, thick-cut tuna, and more of those glorious scallops, all perfectly grilled and paired with sweet cherry tomatoes. We were really impressed with this dish. It was a bit of a winner and perfect for al fresco dining. We also tried the tagliatelle slow cooked beef ragu, which again was an ample dish and very tasty.

Sadly the Crema Caramelata was sold out (a good excuse for a return visit), but the Tiramisu didn’t disappoint, it was lovely and light, and warm chocolate fondant was satisfyingly gooey and chocolatey.

We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch and were suitably impressed with the quality and value for money. It really is a great deal.

Top tip? Get there early if you want to bag an outdoor table as they are first come, first served.
