Circus artist Chris wows judges for MasterChef knock out week place

Chris Adams from Henley, a circus artist who performs as fire breathing pig, has been back on our screens in a new comeback week on the latest series of MasterChef UK and has reached knock out week second time around. Will he go all the way this time?

Chris lived in London for over 20 years where he studied Dance Theatre and Circus. He then moved to Henley-On-Thames in Oxfordshire in 2016 where he now lives with his partner, Kim.

Appearing on the show in 2023 Chris has been given the chance to improve on a quarter final place with the show’s 20th anniversary celebration twist on the series by inviting previous contestants back to battle for title a second time.

“I first appeared in MasterChef in Series 19 in 2023 and got all the way to my Quarter Final. I was super happy to have left with the title under my belt. I wished I had gotten further that year, but I loved every second being in the MasterChef kitchen and meeting John and Gregg. It has always been my dream experience the world of TV. I have watched MasterChef from day one when it first ever aired, I’m a super fan! I never dreamt I would find myself on it one day. I learnt so much about myself as a cook”, says Chris

“It’s unbelievable to be back!  I feel determined and focused and I’m going to really put myself on the plate this time. I want to draw on my theatre experience and elevate my presentation. I will be going all-out with rarely seen ingredients and new, bold dishes that demonstrate the chef I can be, and show MasterChef viewers something new.”

Well he certainly has produced some fabulous bold and new dishes which have catapulted him into the next round with dishes such as Tuna Tataki with a ponzu sauce, crispy noodle, tempura shiso leaf and crispy shallots; Limoncello Tiramisu with yuzucurd, Aztec mint and basil oil, lemon verbena leaves and a Chicken liver Pâté with savoury choux bun, pickle turnip and shallots, crispy chicken skin, fig jam and pickle fig.

The dish that saw him through to knock-out week wowing all three judges, John Torode, Gregg Wallace and guest judge Restaurant Critic Jimi Famurewa who set the brief, was a delicious looking Danish Indian fusion rice pudding. Yes we would like some as well please!
