Festival Week: 13th-20th May 2023
Chiltern Arts open their season with their Winter Warmer programme of folk music, string quartets, new music and a concert of stunning choral works 2nd-4th March including a performance in Henley by the Choir of Somerville College, Oxford of Howells: Life and Loss at St. Mary’s Church.
Followed by the Festival Week proper 13th-20th May which includes two performances in Henley.
Critically-acclaimed tenor James Gilchrist and BBC Young Musician of the Year 2022 Finalist Jaren Ziegler join a group of outstanding young musicians to perform a programme of music by Elgar, Walton, Woolrich and Britten, Eine Kleine Nachtmusik at St. Mary’s Church on 13th May.
On 16th May you can join chart-topping guitarist Craig Ogden for an hour of sublime music from Villa-Lobos, Rodrigo, Manuel de Falla and a two-course dinner aboard Hobbs of Henley’s flagship vessel, the New Orleans.
