Celebrating the Joy of Cheese
As part of ORGANIC SEPTEMBER – the annual initiative from the Soil Association — on Thursday 29th September, award winning Nettlebed Creamery are bringing you an evening talk at The Cheese Shed hosted by their Head of Production, Patrick Heathcoat Amory and Founder, Rose Grimond.
Patrick and Rose will talk about cheese, an often misunderstood or little-known topic before taking you through the science and art of cheese making; and sharing the dietary benefits of their cheeses as well as the relationship between lacto-fermentation and the increasing understanding of the wonder of the microbiome.
Cheese samples and an organic glass of wine will be included in the talk and there will be a bar with thoughtfully selected organic wines.
Nettlebed Creamery says, “choosing organic dairy is one of the ways you can help the environment thrive and we are proud to be one of the very few organic cheesemakers in the UK. If you appreciate quality cheese, the environment, good health (& wine), you’ll love this fun evening of discovery. “
Tickets are just £20 + small booking fee (50p)
Your ticket will include the talk, a take-home sheet, one glass of organic wine and some cheese samples.
It is to be noted that this is not a wine tasting, though the creamery will be sharing their organic wine suggestions and one glass is included in the ticket price. More wine can be purchased from the bar.
