Celebrate the 80th Anniversary of VE Day with Henley Searchlight Ale

Celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day with a unique, limited edition beer from BrakspearHenley Searchlight Ale

A limited edition of the beer will be on sale at the 1940s Swing Band Dance For VE Day on Friday 9th May and at the town centre celebrations in Market Place on Saturday 10th May to support the Henley Poppy Appeal.

Crafted to honour the bravery and sacrifice of those who fought for freedom in 1945, Henley Searchlight Ale is a 500ml 4.5% copper ale boasting a malty, zesty lemon aroma complemented by gentle roasted flavours of dark fruits and sweet malt.

Brakpear has generously donated bottled editions of this special ale to help raise funds for the Henley Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal. Every purchase benefits the cause and through the Brakspear Giving Back Scheme the charity will also receive an additional donation of 25% of bottle sales. A wonderful contribution from Brakpear.

Chris Keating, Marketing Manager for Brakspear says, “Brakspear are proud to be playing a role in the Henley VE celebrations. We have a long history in the town and are delighted to provide Searchlight Ale to commemorate those who fought for our freedom.”

Make sure to grab a bottle of this collectable beer before they’re gone!
