Today was originally going to be the book launch event for Hobbs of Henley: A History, however the Coronavirus pandemic has put paid to that.

The event that was due to take place which involved a boat trip with Hobbs of Henley, a Mr Hobbs G&T and a talk at the River & Rowing Museum will now be rescheduled in due course.

The talk explores the history of Hobbs of Henley, one of the best-known boating businesses on the Thames. It marks the launch of a new book by Dr Simon Wenham, written to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the firm. Hear how a 17th century family from Hambleden became not only notable pillars of the establishment in Henley and integral to the fabric of the regatta town, but also established a market-leading hospitality company.

Though the launch has been delayed the book is now on sale here https://www.amberley-books.com/hobbs-of-henley.html
