New Fish Stall on the Block

There’s a new fish on the block! Nuno Rosado, Chef Proprieter of Portuguese restaurant, The Square in Henley Market Place and Italian restaurant Al Forno in Reading Road is spreading his wings, or should we say fins with a new regular fresh fish and seafood stall.

Nuno, the son and grandson of fishermen, is passionate about fish and has a wealth of knowledge from fishing with his father and grandfather when growing up in Portugal, so it seems quite logical to want to provide the best quality fish to the local community. It’s always early doors at 2am for Nuno who makes the journey up to legendary Billingsgate Market to ensure that he gets the freshest fish and seafood you can buy in Henley.

Nuno’s fish stall initially appeared during the first lockdown last year outside his restauarnt in Market Place, which proved to be a great sucess and very much appreciated by locals to be able to get such great quality produce. Something that all of our local suppliers stepped up to the plate and delivered with bells on!

Regularly on the stall you will see fresh Langoustines, King Prawns, Tiger Prawns, Crab and Lobster as well as Razor Clams, Scallops and all manner of fish from Dover Sole to Red Snapper, Red & Grey Mullet, John Dory or Turbot. They also stock Maldon Oysters which have been cultivated in the Blackwater river since Roman times.
