Welcome back to the Henley Female Collective where every fourth Friday of the month we provide a warm, supportive and welcoming space for conversation, inspiration and connection. Take time for yourself and come along to expand your personal and professional network as you connect with like-minded women. All women are welcome – whether you’re self employed, employed, currently taking a break or anything in between. Come for joy, for friendship, for business or for life. Our focus is on connection first and we find that when we start there business and friendship follow naturally.

Rejection Sensitivity: The Art of Assuming Everyone’s Mad at You (And What You Can Do About It)

Have you ever sent a message and when a reply doesn’t come immediately, spent the next three hours convinced the other person hates you? Or read a slightly blunt email and immediately assumed you’d done something terribly wrong? You’re not alone – there’s even a name for it. Rejection Sensitivity is the tendency to perceive, and intensely feel, rejection or criticism.  Even when none was intended. It’s exhausting, it’s isolating, and it’s incredibly common, particularly among those with ADHD and other neurodivergent traits.

In this month’s talk, Vicki Clark, ADHD and neurodiversity coach at Neon Mind Coaching,  explores why our brains do this, what’s really going on beneath the surface, and most importantly, what you can actually do about it. Drawing on her own lived experience as well as her coaching practice, Vicki brings warmth, humour and hard-won insight to this talk. Whether you struggle with rejection sensitivity yourself or just know someone who does, this is sure to be a a perfect insight into this often overlooked challenge .
