One of Henley’s most iconic and historic buildings, has been refurbished over the past year and it’s looking absolutely stunning. Hotel du Vin Henley has just finished a major phase of its £4.5 million renovation and the results are already turning heads.

Set within the beautifully converted 1653 Brakspears Brewery, the hotel has completely redesigned all its bedrooms, blending original heritage features with modern comfort. Expect character, thoughtful details, and subtle nods to Henley’s river and rowing heritage throughout.

The interiors, led by designer Anita Rosato, bring together warm Arts and Crafts influences, touches of mid‑century personality, and a laid‑back French farmhouse feel. Her aim was to create spaces that feel “intimate and distinctly local,” giving each room its own sense of place.

At the front of the hotel, a brand‑new lounge has been created — a relaxed, stylish space perfect for coffee, casual meet‑ups, or unwinding over a cocktail or aperitif. It’s open to both guests and locals, making it a lovely new spot to drop into.

Reception has been relocated to the centre of the hotel for a smoother, more welcoming arrival, the Bistro has received a refresh, and all three meeting rooms now feature upgraded tech, enhanced lighting, and softer décor.

The bar, once a much‑loved Henley favourite back in the day has an upgraded fresh feel and vibe. It’s definitely one to add to your list of places to catch up with friends. If you haven’t visited recently, now is the perfect time to wander down, explore the new refreshed spaces, and enjoy the updated atmosphere.
