We like ours with steak, and you can too as The Duke in Duke Street are serving a special Henley Royal Regatta Breakfast Menu from 1st – 6th July 9.00-11.00am.

If you’re heading off over the bridge for day of Pimm’s, Prosecco and a beer or four you’ll need to prepare for that and get a good breakfast inside you. The Bavette steak with fried eggs & sourdough top the charts on their breakfast menu. If that’s not your cup of tea there’s Scottish smoked salmon, with scrambled eggs, smashed avocado on sourdough or omit the smoked salmon. Plus you can opt for a cheeky shaving of black truffle for an opulent treat. Well it is regatta week!

You can’t beat a bacon, sausage and egg sandwich. It’s a true soaker-upper from the night before or proper breakfast prep for the day ahead. They’re also offering pastries, toast and proper homemade jam or marmalade for something lighter.

To drink? A Bloody Mary of course or perhaps a glass of Hundred Hills Preample No.2 from one of Henley’s outstanding vineyards. The Duke are also serving a refreshingly elegant Lady A Spritz of Lillet Rosé, hibiscus & soda.

The Duke’s main menu will be running throughout the day if you fancy sneaking away from the crowds. Their Regatta Specials include King Prawn Cocktail & Avruga Caviar, Lobster & Crayfish roll with fries or their Tomahawk steak to share with king prawn, garlic butter, fries and salad.

If you’re after winding down after a day’s racing or if you just want to be part of the regatta vibe, there is live music every evening.
