Hambleden Lock Riverside Pop Up Cafe, Restaurant & Bar
For one month only The Lockdown Lodge a pop up cafe, restaurant and bar will be on the banks of the river at Hambleden Lock. From 7th August – 1st September you’ll be able to grab a coffee, a pint or a bite to eat in the beautifully riverside setting, open daily from 11am-10.30pm.
The Lockdown Lodge has been created by Minna Hughes and her dad Chris Hughes, after her gap year travelling was unfortunately cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic . Inspired by her Grandpa’s motto of ‘there’s no such word as can’t, and not wanting to sit around and do nothing, The Lockdown Lodge was born.
Nestled by the Henley towpath alongside a beautiful stretch of river by the Hambleden Lock, The Lockdown Lodge is a café, bar and casual eatery by day, be it for a coffee and cake, or burger and beer and is the perfect meeting spot to sit back and watch the world pass by.
By night the upstairs roof terrace converts into an exclusive ticketed only supper club to watch the sun go down and make up for lost time post-COVID lockdown….. socially distanced of course!
Showcasing local and seasonal produce, each dinner will offer an exquisite 4-course meal in a relaxed and unique dining experience, and like everything Jimmy Garcia put his hand to there is sure to be the odd surprise along the way.
Jimmy and the team are promising a unique ‘Taste of Henley’ menu, designed to champion and showcase fantastic local suppliers and producers.
