I am so excited to be able to perform with the Pinstripe Suit again. Pinstripe Suit is a high-energy six-piece swing band featuring two-piece brass section and male and female vocals. The band performs the best of swing music from across the 20th century taking the audience on a journey through songs that tell the story of swing across the decades, with plenty themed on drinking! Expect shout-outs, sing-alongs, band walk-abouts and plenty of laughs as the band gives you a performance to remember.

Returning for its third performance at Purdy’s Pop Up due to popular demand, the band will feature the beguiling front-line vocal team of Robin ‘King Pin’ Phillips and Purdy herself.

Singer / pianist / entertainer Robin ‘King Pin’ Phillips, the arranger and bandleader of Pinstripe Suit, is joined onstage by a collection of highly-talented professional musicians (on Sax, Drums, Trombone & Double Bass) who combine intricate ensemble playing with inspiring solo capabilities. Pinstripe Suits embody the 20’s – 40’s speakeasy atmosphere.

ABOUT PINSTRIPE SUIT BAND

Few bands can rival the ensemble’s mix of well-known vocal jazz with energetic upbeat swing and classic funk. In 2012 and 2014, Pinstripe performed for The Savoy’s New Year celebrations.

Pinstripe Suit performs across the UK and in Europe and has performed for Lindy Hop swing dance clubs including the London Swing Dance Society, the Cambridge Lindy club and the Norfolk Swing Dance Society.
